He was born in Ireland and he died in Albany. He was the son of John, a farmer, and Mary Grace. He arrived around 1860. Edmund got married on 29/04/1869 to Cecilia Murphy (08/1845-19/11/1910) in Albany. Cecilia was born in Ireland and died in Bunbury. She was the daughter of James, a coachbuilder, and Helen. She arrived on 05/08/1868 on the Palestine. Their children were Mary (1870-), Cecilia (1872-), Henry (1879-), Edmund (1884-) and Ursula (1885-). Edmund was a police constable at Perth (1865). He was posted in 1870 to the Police Pools in Katanning. He was reprimanded for cowardice in pursuit of the Aboriginal outlaw Bobinet in 1875. He was later a farmer and sheep owner at Grace Field at the Slab Rut Gully, south of Kojonup, which he sold to J .Tunney in 1880, when he moved to Albany.
