John was born in England and died in Perth. He married on 25/12/1891 to Emily Mary Flynn (-06/09/1921). Emily died in Perth. She was the daughter of Timothy and Sophie. John and Emily's children were Alaric Pinder (1892-), Lavinia Constance (1895-) and Alfred Edwin (1896-). John married again on 24/10/1924 to Beatrice Myra Lines. In Bunbury, John was the manager of the Bon Marche store for three years. He owned land at Keysbrook and Perth. He moved to Carvarvon as a storekeeper and showed the first movies there. He owned a camel train that operated between Carnarvon and Geraldton. He was also a Town Councillor and Mayor of Carnarvon. He was educated at Holbeach Grammar School, Lincolnshire, England.
