DE PLEDGE, Thomas Frederick

Thomas was born in England and died in Perth. He was the fifth son of Joseph Price and Lucy. Thomas arrived around 1886 on the Australind from Singapore. He was married in 1906 to Marion Single. Their children were Kaude (1908-1976), Lucy who died at 6 or 7 years old, Patricia (1912- early 1960s) and Anne. He moved to Bunbury for nine months, then to "Minderoo Station'" in the northwest as a Jackaroo, then overseer around 1894, then on to "Stewart's Station” which he bought in 1898 after Stewart's death with other properties, all now known as "Yanrey”. He also had a Perth residence of “Cragmore” on Kings Park Road.
