DUVAL, Henry James Burgess

Henry arrived on 13/07/1853 on the Marion, with his wife Mary Ann. Their children were Ann Tidswell (1857-), Julia Frederica (1858-) who was born in Bunbury, Edith (1863-) and Amy (1865-). Henry worked in Fremantle as the Deputy Superintendent at the Convict Estate in 11/1853, then as a Clerk in 1862 at the Fremantle Convict Department. In 1865 to 1867 he worked as a Superintendent for the Water Police, in 1867 in Fremantle on the Board of Education and in Fremantle in the Working Mens' Association. He left Western Australia on 14/02/1867 on the Bride, with his wife, six children and his servant. His religion was the Church of England.

In
