Margaret was born in Fremantle as the daughter of Edward and Charlotte. Their children were Bilda (1893-), WaIter John (1894-). Harold Ernest (1896-), William Leslie (1899-), Clifford Henry (1902-), Mabel Amelia (1904-), Edward Lincoln (1906-) and Elsie (1911-). William lived in Bunbury, where he worked as a pit sawyer, then established an orchard and vineyard in Clarke Street for Ephriam Clarke. He was supplying dried fruits and wines to Goldfield's market. Gibson bought some of this land where he worked and lived for most of his life.
