He was the son of William and Amelia. He married in 1896 to Esther Amelia Wenn (1878-). She was the daughter of James and Helen. Walter and Esther only had one child, Gladys Amelia (1902-). Walter was a market gardener by trade. The residence he lived at was 8 Latreille Road, Bunbury.
