Edward was the son of William and Sarah. Edwards' daughter, Martha (-25/05/1861), died at "Rose Hill". Pioneered "Rose Hill" farm with his brothers. In Bunbury, Edward was a farmer and butcher. He owned land in the Wellington district, 40 acres in 1856 and 40 acres in 1867. Edward employed seven ticket of leave men between 1866-1874, including a mason in 1874.
