William arrived on 12/10/1829 on the Caroline. He married on 04/01/1841 in Perth to Martha Higgins (1825-). Martha was the daughter of William and Sarah. Martha arrived on 06/05/1830 from Britannia. He came as a servant to Sam N.Talbot. Their children were William (1842-), John (1844-), Edward (1846-1877) who died in Bunbury, Charles (1848-), Anne (1849-), Susan (1853), Henry (1854), Frederick (1856-), Sarah (1858-), Thomas, Richard, Albert, Ellen and a child (1863-1866). William was a sandalwood carter at Vasse and was soon established as a farmer, owning land at Capel, 45 acres in 1857, 32 acres in 1858, then 41 acres in 1868 in the Nelson district. William employed three tickets of leave men between 1871 and 1876.
