Arrived 09/06/1862 on the Norwood, with wife Martha and four Children embarked (23/1865), the two youngest died on the voyage. Children James W. (1853), Martha S (1853). Martha E died (1865) infancy, Arthur S died (1865) infancy. William was a labourer in Bunbury, later became a bricklayer and land-owner. In 1877 signed a petition regarding discrimination against expirees. In 1866 to 1876 employed eight ticket of leave men on occasions, including a sawyer, a woodcutter and a mason in 1872.
