PARTRIDGE, John

(07/06/1856-14/08/1936).

He was born in England, John was the son of Frederick Robert arrived from New Zealand in 1881 on the Otway. He married Eleanor Berkellman Ker (04/04/1863-03/12/1944) in Brunswick on 24/04/1891. Daughter of Henry Thompson and Dorinda. Children were Harriet Rippinghal (1894-1964). Oswald John (Jack) (1896-1952), WaIter Stephen (1898-1969). John prospected in the Kimberley goldfields in 1886 without success. Later in 1887 he inspected several Gascoyne sheep stations and properties in the Avon district before purchasing White Rocks farm in Brunswick Junction.
