He was born in Capel and died in Maylands. William was the son of Charles Daniel and Margaret. First marriage Ellen Woodrow (28/10/1868-07/08/1909), born in Bunbury, died in Coolgardie, in Karridale on 28/04/1890. Daughter of Josiah and Mary Ann. Second marriage Clare Morris died 19/01/1959 in Perth, married in Melbourne on the 04/09/1918. Children to first marriage were William George baptised in 1890, Wesley Charles (1891-1895), Edward Jonah baptised in 1893, Alice Gladys baptised in 1895, Lily (1898), Clarence (1904). Children to second marriage were Edmund, Francis, Kever died in World war I. William commenced work in timber mills in the South West for thirteen years. He was appointed Technical Officer of Saw Hill, Pemberton. In 1924 launched his Australian Lumber Co. in Perth, sold in 1926 (later registered as Alco). In 1935 had half share in Haylands Hotel. Education at Capel. He was a member of The Church of England.
