SHILLING, Thomas

(1838-).

Thomas was an ex-convict. Thomas arrived on 21/01/1858 on the ship Edwin Fox. Thomas employed three tickets of leave men, one as a sawyer at Perth in 1866, one at Bunbury in 1870 and the last as a labourer at Albany. He was a woodcutter contracted to supply sleepers for the construction of the Great Southern Railway on a section south of Cranbrook. One of his sawpits was located at Shilling Lake near Kendenup.
