He was an ex-convict. He arrived in Australia, possibly on 29/01/1862, on the Lincelles. He married on 19/03/1863 in Fremantle to Annie Wickcliffe (1844-24/06/1862). Annie arrived on the Mary Harrison. William and Annie's children were Emily (1865-1867), who died in Bunbury, Sarah Elizabeth, William (1876-) and John (1877-), born in Bunbury. William employed nine tickets of leave men in 1864-1870. In Blackwood, he was a shoemaker (1875-1876), and Williams was where he died.
