WHITFIELD, Thomas Treverton

(05/05/1873-15/02/1954).

He was born in Geraldton and died in Perth. He was the son of Thomas and Mary Georgina. Thomas married Victoria May Craig (24/05/1883-19/07/1962) on 15/03/1902. Victoria was born in York and died in Perth. She was buried in Bunbury. She was the daughter of William Thomas and Pulo Harriet. Thomas and Victoria's Children were William Morton (1902-), Ida May Lucy (1905-), Thomas Eugene (1906-), Claude Edward (1908-1962), Morton Treverton (1910-), Dorinda Alma (1912-), Harriet Pulo (1914-), Ronald Phillip (1924-1974) and Nancy Belle (1926-). He travelled from "Yandanooka" to" Greenhills', York in 1894. He was in the butchering business in York, 1900. As a farmer, he bought a property at "Greenhills" in 1913. The drought and recession forced him to call on brother Edward for help. The latter's death meant winding up affairs and a new home with son Claude, then 1946-1952 with son Willam at Manjimup dairy farming. Thomas was educated at Briggs' Grammar School Fremantle Country Party. He was a member of the Church of England.

In
