Susan died in Fremantle. She was the daughter of David and Elizabeth. Susan was a teacher at the Bishop's Girls School of Perth for five years in the 1880s. Susan was resident governess at the Field Place Ladies School in Bunbury from 1887 to 1890 and at Fremantle from 1891 to 1904. Assisted by her four sisters, she conducted a private school at Wesleyan RaIl, Cantonment Street. Her residence was 60 Attfield Street, Fremantle.
