INKPEN, Frank Julius

(01/07/1872-28/03/1955).

He was born in Perth and died in Bunbury. He was the son of George and Matilda née Ougden. He married Grace Eleanor Pincombe (21/11/1881-22/07/1968) in Fremantle on 19/09/1900. She was born in Fremantle and died in Bunbury. He was the doctor of John Powell and Charlotte Eleanor. Their children were Eric (1901-), Muriel (1902-), Marjory (1906-), Freda (1907-), Verna Gladys (1908-), Constance (1913-), Bruce (1915-), Esme (1917-), Leo George John (1919-1942 in World War Two). Frank joined the postal service at about 13 years of age and retired at 64 years old (Government Gazette 1890). He was a postmaster at Coolgardie, Roebourne, Carnarvon and Broome. He was an educator at the Perth Boys' School. He was a liberal and a Methodist.
