MARSH, William

(08/05/1821-11/05/1909).

He was born in England and died in Preston. He arrived on 24/03/1854 on the Victory with his 2nd wife Elizabeth and son Henry. He married on 18/10/1846 to Lydia Brown (1827-1850) and remarried on 16/10/1853 to Elizabeth Hiller (26/09/1825-09/10/1886), who died in Brunswick. He had five children, four born in Bunbury, Henry (1850 in England-1935), Charles (1855-1923), Lydia (1857-1940), George (1860-1890) and John (1866-1948). Listed as a Farmer, he bought 100 acres in 1866 at Wellington Location 1 No. 34 at Brunswick and increased to 1308 acres by 1877. He later sold all except the original 100 acres. He was a wheelwright in Bunbury district between 1868-1874. He employed 2 ticket of leave men in 1864.
