MYLNE/MILNE, James

(21/06/1815-20/03/1899).

James arrived on 02/1838 on the Gail Larden from India. James married in 1849 to Henrietta Flaherty (1831-13/11/1861). Henrietta was the daughter of Edward and Sarah Elizabeth (maiden name Chapman). Their children were Annie Matilda (1850-), Louis Henry (1853-), Ernest (1855-) and Blanche (1857-). His sons were educated at St. Andrews University. He owned Wellington location 1, 140 and 167 "Belah" at Vasse. He voyaged to the Abrolhos in 1842 on the Ocean Queen. James was in a partnership with Von Bibra and in 1845, they advertised a farm to lease in Avon districts. Sent collections of wildflowers to Kew in 1855. He went to India where he worked in the Railway Department as an engineer. Some of his children were born there. Mrs Mylne and the family of 3 arrived on 11/11/1887 on Board the Albany from Eastern countries. He bequeathed his Bunbury property to his son Ernest in trust to give occupancy to his sister-in-law Eliza Flaherty and the widow of Edward Flaherty.

He took a cargo of sheep to Bunbury in 1866 with Gordon, who for the brief period was a flockmaster at Balingup. Went to the North West in 1866 exploring for pastoral land in de Grey district with brother Frank. In 1866/9 at Bunbury, he was a farmer and grazier. He had a leasehold in Nelson district. He employed 8 ticket of leave men and a carpenter in 1864 and 1869 .

(04/09/1860-11/08/1930).

He was the son of Abraham WaIter and Mary Esther Rose (maiden name Trayhorne). Lewis married 27/02/1887 in Dingup to Helen Giblett (28/06/1855-23/07/1946). Helen was the daughter of John and Ann (maiden name Wells). Their children were Esther Ann (1889-), Helen Agnes (1891-1965), Charles Abraham born (1893-1916) died in World War I, Violet Zoe (1895-1972) and Linda Blanche (1898-). His wife before marriage was postmistress at Balbarrup. He was head Stockman for Hassle of Jerramungup, after marriage selected land at Yerriminnup River, home at "All Vie". In Bridgetown, he was a gardener and orchardist. 7th Day Adventist after 1903.

(22/05/1839). He was the son of (James) Abraham Matthews and Mary (maiden name Jones). Abraham married in Perth to Mary Esther Rose Trayrorne (1840-24/05/1886). Mary was the daughter of Richard. She arrived 24/10/1850 on Board the Hashemy (Enrolled Pensioner ). Their children were Hilda Matthew F. (1942-), Stephen James, Claude later, Abraham, Lewis Charles (1860-1930), Maude (1868-1945), Lily Cecilia (1873-) and Rose. Abraham joined the Police Force before 1860 and was stationed at Bunbury in 1864, then Bridgetown 1866, where he bought a town Lot in 1868 and was the first policeman there. He was appointed as Registrar of births, deaths and marriages in 1875. His wife was postmistress 1866 and schoolteacher 1870.

He was the eldest of 8 or 9 sons of Daniel and Louise (Rector 40 years Southwark, London). He arrived 29/12/1886 on Board the Elderslie from London. Alfred married on 02/11/1889 in Perth to Charlotte Elizabeth Dent (23/02/1864-15/11/1942). Charlotte died in Perth. She was the daughter of George William and Ellen (maiden name Turner). Their children were Alfred (1890-1891), died in Guildford, Charlotte Marion Louise (1891-1966), Amy Greta (1893-1894), Ena Adela (1894-1895), Hilda (1896-1970), Cecil George Michael (1897-1897), Grace Ellen (1899-1959), Eliza May (1901-) and Estella Alice (1903-). He was employed by Western Australia Railways from 1887-1896 as a surveyor, near Perth. He was the town Clerk at RoeBourne and a stationmaster of Guildford for two years. District Superintendent at Southern Cross and Bunbury. Stationmaster at Perth in 1895. Resigned to ill health, later on a partner in real estate with Cecil Dent (brother-in-law) in Perth, 1889. John was the son of David and Margaret (of Englewood, Victoria). He arrived 17/10/1884 on the Victorian from Eastern colonies and returned to South Australia 09/03/1885. John married on 23/10/1888 in Albany to Katherine Anne Phillips (02/10/1864-24/11/1959). Katherine was the daughter of Benjamin and Anue (maiden name McShane). Their children were John Harrison (1888-), Linda Amelia (1890-1964) died in Queensland, Maude Olivia (1891-1980), Ernest Laurence (1893-1966) and Thelma Vivian (1910-1980). John was a traffic manager for Millar's Timber and Trading Co. Yarloop etc. His widow celebrated her 100th birthday at Dardanup Hall, a noted horsewoman.

MORRISON Hugo

(1819-1850).

Hugo married on 25/12/1841 to Susan Luisa Bond (1818-). Susan was the daughter of Henry Rice. Their children were Christiana (1843-), Louisa (1844-), Elleen(1846-) to Eastern colonies and George Henry went to sea and died at Bombay. Hugo was a boat builder and carpenter in Bunbury. In partnership with Kemp, he built and launched a boat in 02/1847. Unfortunately, he drowned in a fishing accident. Hugo's widow departed with the two youngest Children on 18/09/1850 on Board the Daphne for South Australia. The two eldest daughters were reared by grandparents Henry Rice Bond and his wife.

George arrived on 27/10/1862 on the Tartar. He married on 17/03/1865 to Jane Armstrong (1836-03/06/1907). She arrived 27/10/1862 on the Tartar. Their children were Mary Annie (1866-1946), John William (1868-1909), Sarah, Elizabeth (1870-), Ellen (1872-1950), Florence (1873-) and Janet (1875-). He was a police Constable in 1867 Bunbury and Canning in 1876 from York to Perth. He employed a ticket of leave shoemaker in 1870. His widow had a small store in James Street, Perth. She received 7£ on the week, discontinued in 1882 when two of her 6 Children were earning money. He was a part of the Church of England.
