Thomas died in Boyanup. He arrived on 13/09/1852 on the ship Samuel on 04/11/1862. Thomas married Charlotte Wood (03/05/1845-13/05/1935) in Bunbury. Charlotte was born in Bunbury as the daughter of William J and Sarah. Thomas and Charlotte's children were Thomas (1873-1947), George (1877-1943), John (1881-1940) and Maud (1884-1978). He bought 40 acres in the Wellington district. Thomas was a small farmer at Boyanup, while his wife was district midwife. He employed nine tickets of leave men on occasions between 1862-1871, 2 of them being sawyers. Thomas was part of the Church of England.
