KEAN, A. R. He employed a ticket of leave man at Bunbury between 1872 and 1873.


KEARNEY, Thomas (01/10/1879-08/03/1960). He was the son of James and Catherine. On 04/11/1903, Thomas married Catherine Reilly (12/04/1879-12/9/1903) in Busselton. Catherine was born in Bunbury and died in Perth. She was the daughter of Philip and Margaret. Thomas and Catherine's children were Margaret (1904-), Evelyn (1906-), Clement (1908-1957), Elvie (1909-), Leonard (1911-1974), Gloria (1914-) and Muriel (1918-). He worked at Nannup as a farmer. He was educated at Rose's estate. 


KEEBLE, Charles (1865-08/02/1944). Charles arrived on 02/06/1891 on the Orizaba. On 28/12/1893 Charles married Edith Properjohn (07/05/1875-09/05/1963). Edith was the daughter of Charles Daniel and Margaret. Charles and Edith had one child, Kathleen. He was a painter and decorator. He was contracted to work on the flour mill at York. In 1892, Charles went into partnership with James Craig at Bunbury in a premises rented from George William Floyd. He bought six lots of land in Bunbury. The death of Craig that year brought financial difficulties. He visited England with his bride, where his father's death caused him to remain there to carry on the family business. 


KEEGAN, (Private) James of the 21st Regiment was stationed in Western Australia from 1833 to 1840. Lieutenant Bunbury sent him to escort Layman to the Vasse with his cattle. 


KEEN, Anthony R (1837-). On 17/12/1864 Anthony arrived on the Hastings with his wife Carline (1844-). He had a second marriage with Harriet. Anthony's children were Anthony Keen (1867, who died at seven weeks), Sarah (1870-) and John Henry Rowden (1871-). He was a blacksmith in Bunbury. Anthony was nominated in 1863 by his brother-in-law John Conibeare. He employed six ticket of leave men from 1868 to 1873. 


KEEN, Thomas Ernest (1879-1948). He was born in Bunbury. Thomas was the son of Thomas John and Esther. In 1899 he married Alice Grace Reynolds in South Australia. Thomas and Alice's children were Elsie Caroline Grace (1901-), Lilias Vera (1903-), Thomas Herbert (1907-), Esther Amelia (1908-), Emily Eva (1910-) and Bessie Annie (1914-).


KEEN, Thomas John. Thomas married Esther Rowden. Thomas and Esther had one child, Thomas Ernest (1879-1948), born in Bunbury.


KELLY, Neil (1818-). He may have been an expiree, meaning he completed his sentence as a convict. Neil arrived on 01/06/1858 on the Lord Raglan. At Bunbury in 1864, he nominated his wife Mary (1828-) and four children as assisted migrants. Mary arrived on 20/8/1866 on the Palestine with Michael (1856-). He employed a ticket of leave man in 1872. He was a store assistant in Geraldton in 1884. He is listed as a labourer in Northampton from 1880 to 1889. 


KELLY, Thomas (1833-). He was an expiree, meaning he completed his sentence as a convict. Thomas arrived possibly on 01/06/1858 on the Lord Raglan. He employed eleven ticket of leave men, including five sawyers at Bunbury between 1868 and 1877.


KEMP, George (1841-). He may have been an expiree, meaning he completed his sentence as a convict. George arrived on 04/08/1862 on the Clara. He employed a ticket of leave labourer at Bunbury in 1869. 


KEMP, John (1822-). In 05/1845 he travelled to Bunbury on the Alpha with his brother James, who drowned in 1847 soon after launching their vessel Gazelle. John worked as a boat builder at Bunbury in 1846 with Ruga Horrison. John was the master of the Isa in 1850. 


KETCH, Jack. In 06/1850 Jack was accused of several robberies in the Bunbury district. 


KIBBLE, G. T. He had many trips to the eastern colonies. He returned to Western Australia on 21/03/1881 on the Otway from the eastern colonies, 24/02/1886 on the South Australian from the eastern colonies, 03/08/1887 on the RMS Carthage from the eastern colonies and 19/01/1888 on the Albany from South Australia. He stayed on occasions at Bunbury. 


KILPATRICK, Daniel Rose (12/1810-13/12/1885). Daniel was born in Scotland and died in Bunbury. He arrived on 12/09/1854 on the Merchantman as an Enrolled Pensioner Guard with his second wife and five children. He was a Private of the 92nd Regiment enlisting in 1839 and being discharged in 1861. His first wife, Fraser, died in Scotland. His second wife was Elizabeth Martha Henderson Arthur (1836-20/02/1904). Elizabeth was the daughter of Robert and died in Fremantle. Daniel and Frazer's children were Catherine, David (1852-1931) and Thomas. Daniel and Elizabeth's children were Daniel, Mary, Arthur (1869-1951), William Francis (1871-1902), Jessie (1872), Margaret Jessie (1873). He worked as a soldier before becoming a master tailor on High Street Fremantle in 1867. 


KING, Henry (1633-06/01/1899). Henry was born in England and arrived on 13/03/1855 on the Berkshire with his wife Susannah Ruskin (1835-16/11/1912). Susannah is buried at Picton Church. Henry and Susannah's children were George (1864) and William (1865-1917). His cottage at Bunbury was opened as a museum in 1968. He employed three ticket of leave men in 1860 at Perth and 1868 at Bunbury.  


KING, Mary (1833-01/05/1853). Mary died in Bunbury.


KlNG, William A. William arrived in 1847 on the Java. He married Mary. William had one child, Augustus William (1855-1855). He was a Private in the 96th Regiment and was discharged in 1849 in Western Australia. He went exploring with Gregory. In Bunbury in 1850 and Dardanup, he employed a ticket of leave man in 1868. He was a police constable in 1855. 


KINSELLA, Edward Patrick (01/1829-21/01/1899). Edward died in Bunbury. He was the son of Thomas and Margaret, who arrived on 14/10/1854 on the Esmeralda together. On 01/05/1854, Edward married Anne Cavanagh (1831-02/04/1891) in Ireland. Edward and Anne's children were Thomas (1854), Margaret (1857-1884), Elleanor (1854-1929), James Martin (1859-1909), Julia (1861-), Bridget (1863-1943), Mary Angela (1862-1944), Ann (1866-1944) Catherine (1867-1941) and Edward (1869-1937). He worked as a labourer, then a farmer at Ludlow in Busselton in 1877. After that, he was a school teacher and employed four ticket of leave men from 1864 to 1865.


KINSELU, Thomas (24/10/1856-20/11/1887). Thomas was born in Gelorup and died in Bunbury. He was the son of Edward and Ann. On 29/12/1879, Thomas married Bridget Carroll (24/07/1855-16/05/1927) in Bunbury. Bridget was the daughter of Patrick John and Mary. Thomas and Bridget's children were Catherine (1880-1970), Edward (1882-1971), Elsie (1885-) and Thomas (1885-1950). In Busselton he worked as a teamaster in 1880. In 1886 he worked as a farmer at Happy Valley in Quindalup and a horse breeder for India trade.


KNIGHT, W. He may have been an expiree, meaning he was a convict who finished his sentence. In Bunbury he employed a ticket of leave man in 1870. 


KRUEGER, Frederick (1845-). Frederick arrived on 26/05/1877 on the Bastings with Hermann. On 18/01/1882, Frederick married Mary Ann Boyle. Mary was the daughter of Edward and Mary Ann. He applied for 50 acres in Swan district in 1879 as an immigrant grant. He worked as a watchmaker at Bunbury in 1885.
