David was born in Picton and died in Claremont. He was the son of William and Margaret. David married on 07/12/1881 to Mary Parker (16/5/1853-29/5/1942) in York. Mary was the daughter of John Wyborn and Elizabeth. Their children were John Norman (baptised in 1883), Hubert Willlam Wyborn (1884-1885), who died in Minderoo, Margaret Elizabeth (1885-1955), Susie Violet (1888-1950), David William Maidland (1889-1890), Robert Mervyn (1891-1975) and Donald Louis (1892-01/07/1915) who died in World War 1. He went to Melbourne on 22/07/1871 on the Azelia and with his wife in 1887. He employed six ticket of leave men at Cubbine in the York District between 1873 and 1876. In 1874 he drove a mob of sheep to Ashburton in the northwest. He was part owner with his brothers of Minderoo Station in Ashburton. He was a manager for fifteen years. He was a chairman of the Road Broad and a Justice of Peace in Western Australia. He was a Member of the Legislative Assembly in Ashburton (1897-1900), then Retired to '"Minderoo" in Claremont. He was educated at Bunbury Bishop's School and Perth. He was a member of the Church of England.
