George was born and died in Picton. He was the son of William and Margaret. George married on 06/08/1884 to Alice Delen O'Neill (3/7/1853-23/9/1933) in Bunbury. Alice was born in Ireland and died in Bunbury. Their children were Ernest Forrester (1884-1956), Flora Frances (1887-1947), Herbert Augustus (1888-), Blanche Irene (1889-), Ethel Marion (1891-1979) and Margaret Elvira (1895-). He worked as a miller of Leschenault Mill in Picton. He was a Justice of Peace for Wellington in 1894. He owned a 25-acre orchard which was irrigated and worked by Chinese labours. He was noted for stud stock, cattle and sheep. He conducted a government fish hatchery in the old mill's race pond. George was educated locally. He was a member of the Church of England.
