He was born in England. He was the son of John and Harriet. James and his parents arrived in Australia on 20/08/1842 on the Simon Taylor. He married Helen Jarvis (02/06/1844-) on 12/01/1861 (Fremantle Congr). She was the daughter of James of Fremantle. Children 13, 8 of whom survived infancy. James and Helen's children were Edward Harold (Farrelly), baptised in 1861, Henry, James Rossmore, baptised in 1864, Thomas, John, Harriet, Francis, Fanny, Bertha and Esther Amelia. He later travelled to Bunbury, where he was a Whaler Captain - employed by William Ramsay. He was also a carpenter and boatbuilder. He owned land in Constitution Street, Bunbury. He employed a ticket of leave man in 1869. He was part of the Church of England.

He was the son of John Bailey and Margaret. He married Mary Ann Ford (26/01/1868-1942). Mary was the daughter of John (James) and Ann. Francis and Mary's Children were Edward Harold (1891-) born in York, Herbert Bailey (1892-) born in York as Roman Catholic, Muriel (1894-1968), Eileen (1899-1972), died in Bunbury, Alma (1901-), Gladys (1904-1953) and Francis (1910-1948). He was a Butcher and a Council worker.

He was the son of John and Ann. He married on 10/10/1892 in Bunbury to Isabella Caroline Clifton (27/02/1862-05/09/1908). Isabella was born in Bunbury as the daughter of Robert Williams and Christina. John and Isabella's children were Christina Ann Isabella (1893-1895), John Clifton Pierce (1895-), Robert-Eric Pierce (1896-1954). Gerald Eardly Pierce (1897-), Owen Ronald Pierce (1899-), Noel Churchill Pierce (1900-1955) and Richard Kent Pierce (1903-1910). John worked in the North West for some years, then the George River and Yule River from 1880-1885. He had stock at Mandurah in 1881 and 1884. He was a farmer at "Condarina", Benger. Had a Devon Cattle Stud and Shropshire sheep, exhibited in Royal Agricultural Shows. He grew the 1st crop of potatoes in Benger Swamp, which he drained for the purpose. He visited the Eastern colonies in 1883 and returned on 28/02/1884 on the Franklin.

He was baptised as a Roman Catholic as an adult at "Belvedere" Bunbury 05/1851. Thomas Little witnessed this.

(1829-28/12/1886).

He was an ex-convict. He arrived in Australia, possibly on 29/01/1862, on the Lincelles. He married on 19/03/1863 in Fremantle to Annie Wickcliffe (1844-24/06/1862). Annie arrived on the Mary Harrison. William and Annie's children were Emily (1865-1867), who died in Bunbury, Sarah Elizabeth, William (1876-) and John (1877-), born in Bunbury. William employed nine tickets of leave men in 1864-1870. In Blackwood, he was a shoemaker (1875-1876), and Williams was where he died.

Henry was born in the U.K. and died in Perth. He was the son of Henry and Lydia. He arrived on 05/01/1903 from Victoria. He got married in Fremantle on 22/12/1913 to Aiba Augusta Bislop (05/10/1876-15/04/1951). She was the daughter of James John Henry and Bridget. Their child was Ailsa Ray, born in Busselton. Henry was experienced in farming, carpentry and stationary steam engines. He had a butchering business at Boulder and also worked with power engines on the goldfields and Bunbury. Henry was educated in England. He was also a Conservative. He was a member of the Church of England.

(21/05/1810-25/06/1899).

John died in Perth and was a Petty Officer R.N. He arrived 1st with Captain Fremantle in 1829. He arrived again on 14/03/1841 on the Sterling as a crew member. He married on 09/1843 to Mary Ann Joscelyn (23/09/1816-01/05/1892). She arrived in Australia on 14/03/1841 on the Stirling with infant Mary Ann J (later called Watson). John and Mary's children were Mary Ann Adams (stepdaughter) (1840-1917), Julia Ellen (1842-1928), Captain Charles Henry (1844-), John James (1846-1938), William Alfred (1848-1932). Frederick Augustus (1850-1931), Alice Agnes (1853-1936), Edwin Horace (1855-1940), Edith Rose (1858-1942) and Joseph (1862-1863). It is said that he had been discharged as Petty Officer R.N. in 1840. In 1842 he began daily sailboat service, cargo and passengers between Fremantle and Perth. He was the master of Albion on the Bunbury-Fremantle run 1848. Captain of the Speculator, the 1st steamer built on the colony, was launched on 13/10/1854 and qualified as a juror in 06/1860 for having a personal estate of £150.

He was from Ireland. Patrick arrived in Australia on 31/08/1853 on the Phoebe Dunbar. He married Bridget Hickey. Patrick and Bridget's child was Michael. He was a farmer in Bunbury at "Dardanup" from 1875 to 1889. He was a carter in 1885 and a carpenter in 1887.

Thomas died in Fremantle. He was an ex-convict. He arrived in Australia on 31/12/1862 on the York. He married Janet (1829-09/11/1891) in Fremantle. Thomas and Janet's child was William Richard (1861-1862). He employed three ticket of leave men in 1871 at Bunbury, and one was a sawyer in Fremantle. His widow was the town dairy woman in 1885.

He was an ex-convict. He arrived in Australia on 17/05/1851 on the Mermaid. He applied in 1851 for his wife to follow him out to Australia. He married his second wife, Mary Sherott, on 10/12/1854 at the Bunbury Roman Catholic church. William was a brickmaker in Bunbury from 1870 to 1889, and he employed nine ticket of leave men on occasions between 1864 and 1873. His religion was with the Church of England.
