John was born in England and died in Perth. He was the son of John and Hannah (nee Hepburn). John arrived on 16/09/1887 on the Helena Mena with his parents. He married on 11/3/1896 in Perth to Caroline Louise Milford (09/03/1874-). She was the daughter of Henry and Alice Louisa (nee Bayliss). Their children were Nita (1899-), Gordon (1900-), Eileen (1904-), John (1907-) and Arthur (killed in World War II). John was a pharmacist but was stated to be a clerk on the shipping list. He was indentured in England and completed training in Perth under Edward Mayhew. He worked at York and Bunbury. After returning to Perth, he worked with Edmund Dean and Co. In 1894 he was at Guildford until 1951. He was the Vice President of the Guildford Swimming Club.

TIMPERLEY, William Henry

(22/05/1833-11/08/1909).

William was born in England as the son of Reverend William Thomas and Elizabeth Bradney (originally Evans). William arrived with his father and family in 1851. William married on 02/11/1858 to Rebecca Properjohn (20/02/1842-22/02/1910) in Bunbury. Rebecca was born in Western Australia and died in Perth. She was the daughter of Charles and Elizabeth. William's children were Frank Charles (1859), who died during infancy, Elizabeth Maud (1860-1922), Hannah May (1862-), Frederick Henry (1863-1905), Edith Ada (1865-1935), Percy Oughton (1867- ), Mary Alice (1868-1947), Blanche baptised 1872, Forrest born and baptised in 1877 and Lewis Clayton (1879-1946). William was a member of the police force in Toodyay from 1856 to 1857. He became a Sub-Inspector. In 1860 William founded Geraldton Masonic Lodge. In Vasse in 1866, he became Inspector. In 1870 he travelled from Perth to England on leave and returned in 1884. William was the Superintendent of a Native Prison at Rottnest in 1885. He was the Resident Magistrate for Wellington, Blackwood and Sussex Districts from 1890 to 1905 in Bunbury. He retired to South Perth in 1905. William was awarded the Imperial Service Order. William was the author of "Harry Trevertoo" and "Bush Luck". William employed two ticket of leave men in 1851 and 1853. William was a member of the Church of England.

(30/07/1863-13/12/1905).

Frederick was born in Geraldton as the son of William Henry and Rebecca (originally Properjohn). Frederick married Josepha Margaret Cummins (14/09/1866-18/05/1930) in Surry, England. Josepha was born in England and died in Perth. She was the daughter of Reverend Richard Swete Cummins. Fredericks children were Kathleen Maud (1897-1959), born in Bunbury and died in Perth, Harold John (1898-1954) was born in Bunbury and died in England, Dorothy Ethel (1900-1980), who died in Perth. Frederick was a Commission Agent in Bunbury. Frederick visited overseas and returned on 11/10/1884 on the Glengoil from London.

James had served his penal sentence. James arrived on 11/02/1862 on the Palmerston. James was supposed to have left for the Eastern colonies on 11/07/1866. James employed five ticket of leave men at Bunbury from 1869 to 1871 and one at Williams in partnership with Young. James was admitted to Fremantle Invalid Depot as a pauper and Imperial Exchequer.

Thomas departed in 04/1844 on the Vixen for South Australia. Thomas departed by the Vixen to Colombo. Thomas died in Singapore while on his return to Australia.

He had served his penal sentence. Thomas arrived on the Lord Dalhousie. Thomas married on 17/05/1875 to Elizabeth Seymour (05/11/1854-) in Fremantle. Elizabeth was the widow of Henry William. Thomas' children were Mary Ann (1875-), born in Wesleyan, Annie Wells (1878-) born in Perth and Jane (1880-) born in Perth. In 1878 Thomas was a brickmaker in Perth. Thomas employed a ticket of leave shepherd in 1863 and a ticket of leave labourer in 1873.

Henry's children were Sarah Keziah (1858-) born in Bunbury, Emily (1859-), born in Bunbury and Elizabeth. Henry bought 10 acres at lot 188 Wellington District in 1857. Henry bought Bunbury Town Lots in 1866. Henry was a Carter in Bunbury from 1873 to 1889.

He was born in Bunbury and employed a ticket of leave labourer in 1863. According to the Almanack, he was a Government School Teacher from 1884 to 1889 in Perth. His wife was a dressmaker in Perth from 1884 to 1889. In Perth, he employed seven ticket of leave bootmakers and shoemakers on occasions from 1866 to 1873.

He was an expiree. He employed a ticket of leave man in 1862. In York, he hired a ticket of leave man in 1870. In 1880 Bunbury he employed a ticket of leave fencer.

(-22/05/1886).

Wiliam drowned in Shark Bay, leaving a wife and young family. He was a Fremantle storekeeper from 1862 and may have been one in Bunbury from 1868 to 1869. Thomas went North West for pearling with Isaac Doust Junior on 18/12/1872. He bought the Dolphin on 17/06/1877. William employed 50 people in 1882. He bought the Lily Blanche, a cutter from 1882 to 1885 in Shark Bay. According to the Government Gazette, William was also in charge of the Post and Telegraph Station from 1878 to 1886. William may have been a police Constable in1884 and dismissed at Roebourne.

He departed on 10/07/1850 on the Empress for South Australia. He also left in 11/1865 by the Aldinga for South Australia. He was a storekeeper in Fremantle from 1862 to 1864 and a storekeeper in Bunbury from 1868 to 1869.

William worked at the telegraph department in Fremantle and Perth and then in Bunbury between 1886 and 1887. William worked as an accountant for Thomas Hayward and Son in Bunbury.
