Alfred was married on 10/06/1853 at father's house in Picton to Louisa Jane Flaherty (1835-12/06/1929) the daughter of Edward and Sarah. Their children were Caroline (1854-1896), Edmund (1856-), Lewis (1858-), Matilda (1860-1884) died in Pitcon, Geoffrey (1869-1938), WaIter and Godfrey.
